Mission

The Iraqi Mushroom and Truffle Platform (IQMT) aims to be a leading global reference in the fields of research, education, and publishing in mycology and truffle science.

Goals

• Support scientific research, education, and publishing in the fields of mycology, wild mushrooms, truffles, and desert truffles.
• Provide an independent scientific platform aimed at enhancing scientific collaboration in Iraq and the surrounding region.
• Serve the scientific community by acting as a central hub for research related to fungi, wild mushrooms, and truffles.
• Publish collaborative research with international researchers and establish agreements with mycology associations in the region.
• Bring together researchers, graduate students, amateurs, and specialists in the fields of mushrooms and truffles in Iraq.
• Create a database of registered and published Iraqi mushroom and truffle species.
• Issue scientific journals and publications focused on mushrooms and truffles.
• Organize memberships for specialists in this field both locally and internationally.
